A BIG quarter @TeamIndus

A BIG quarter @TeamIndus

Rounding up a really BIG quarter with the GLXP team summit @Santiago, Chile – special thanks to our gracious host Team Angelicvm. Other than Astrobotic, most of the teams appear to be at a similar level of preparedness – happy to still have a shot at the big one :))

We managed to get the word out these past few months, and were written about a few times, some interesting reads for those you may have missed out earlier – Economic Times, First Post, Sunday Guardian, Silicon India.

We went out to present our case to the powers that can make this happen, with the trajectory & descent simulation finally locked down, we made our way to some important names in the Indian Aerospace industry – Dr Kasturirangan, Dr Samir Brahmachari, CSIR-NAL & Antrix to name a few. The response was a welcome surprise and we expect to garner firm commitments in the coming quarter on material & services sourcing. Interestingly, this will ensure more than 60% of our material will now be indigenous – works faster, better and of course cheaper for us.

Advisors, Mentors & Team members
We are privileged to welcome M Loganathan, Srinivasan Rangarajan, Hari Baskaran & Nick Patel to our team of Advisors.

We recruited some more great talent – Raghav Mallick, Sourabh Kaushal join us as full time team members. Vasu Agarwal, Gaurav Jain, Nishant Arora started their internship with us. We have a few more interns joining us in the summer – thanks for all of you who wrote in.

A mid-quarter technology review conducted on 23rd Feb set us up for a detailed review @ISRO in March – some interesting observations by Dr BN Suresh on our trajectory has forced a bit of a re-think. More on that a little later in this quarter.

We signed up to host SpaceApps in New Delhi, at this point we have received 75+ registrations, this should make for an interesting recruiting exercise – in case you are interested in signing up visit us at –

We value your support, it makes all this seem possible – follow us & track our progress at – & Google+ page

    Best wishes on the project!
How do I make a financial contribution to the project? I would also be interested in doing volunteer work in Bangalore if needed. Let me know if you need volunteers. Also, is there a plan to have kids learn more about the project so that the next generation can get inspired? Having a kids day to showcase the project progress might be a good way to keep them engaged in the project.
